Join Me in The Break Room

Are you a retail leader?

Do you feel alone in what you do?

Maybe you want to avoid bothering your boss. She looks busy. Perhaps you don’t want to reach out with that question because you fear you’ll look a certain way.

So many of us feel like this.

It’s the nature of the business in a lot of ways. We’re tasked with doing too much with not enough resources. We’re stretched so thin that we fear asking a question will be a burden to our bosses.

Now, you have a team to support YOU.

This week I’m launching The Break Room—a virtual safe space for retail leaders.

  • Ask me anything
  • Connect with other leaders
  • Join virtual training (I mean, Zoom parties)
  • Vent
  • Get answers to questions like, “Is my boss crazy?”

I can only answer so many questions via DMs on LinkedIn, so this is our space to share and learn from each other without our bosses in the room.

I get what you do every day.

I get that the demands are relentless.

Join me in The Break Room and get the support and encouragement you deserve.

The platform is built using Mighty Networks. It’s like Slack but way better. They also have an app so you can check in where ever you are. Got 5 minutes? Great! Jump in when you can.

Check it out. Get all the details here.

I hope to see you there!

MAILBOX

I got this DM recently –

“Do you think it’s worth changing jobs if the pay will essentially be the same but will get me a much higher title in retail?”

My response to this question was this –

“It depends on what your future goal is. Will this, essentially lateral move, be a step in the direction you want to go? Do you love your current role? Are you ready for something new? There’s a lot to it other than a title & pay.

I’ve taken a step down & less pay in my career to learn a new skill. It just depends on what you’re looking for. Will you learn anything in the new role or just be given a new title? Think about it. There’s no right answer, only what is right for you right now.”

Sometimes when opportunities present themselves, it’s easy to reach out for a shiny, new thing, but take some time to ask yourself these questions. When you reflect, you’ll see the answer. For YEARS I would not leave my job for anything. And then, one day, I did.

When you’re ready, you’ll know.
