Did you think I forgot to send this newsletter over the weekend? I did. I did forget. Oops. October always feels like a runaway train. Running a business can be overwhelming. Being a solo entrepreneur is crazy on another level. My days are filled with googling how to do something, seeing a term I’ve never heard of, and then deciding to learn how to do the thing—then implementing it in my business. I’m usually balancing that and client work. I’ve landed some fantastic clients this year; however, a few have switched directions this month. My clients’ changing direction means less work for me, which is a bummer. But when that happens, I always re-focus on myself. ⭐️ My website got an overhaul. Everything I design or launch is aimed to do one of these things: If I can do all of these at once, I’m soaring. Retail NewsMy favorite scoop of retail news this month is that significant companies are striking degree requirements from their job descriptions. Cue the standing ovation. A college degree is only a piece of someone’s history. Unless you’re a doctor, it could be insignificant. I thought my degree would help me climb the corporate ladder. I was wrong. After I graduated college, no one looked at my degree. Not once. Read the full story in The Voice of the Frontline.

Resources for Retail Leaders

The first one I’ve published is:

This short, six-page guide gives you ALL my best tips for writing a fantastic schedule – FAST.
Stop guessing. Stop the trial and error.
I’ve walked into eleven new buildings and had to lead.
I’ve written thousands of schedules.
I know what works. Now, you do, too.
These are my best practices for planning and building your schedule in blocks. No matter what software you use, these tips will totally help.
Retail Renegades Merch
We have merch, people!
Fun fact about me: I design when I’m procrastinating.
So, I couldn’t help but take my designs and launch a shop. It’s just getting started and we have stickers, pins, and magnets. I did add a t-shirt due to demand.
Check it out & let me know if you have a favorite retail phrase you want to see. I’d be stoked to design it.
